At eHealth360, our mission is driven by the stark healthcare realities in Northern Nigeria and across Africa. With only 40% of Africans having access to basic healthcare and regions like Nigeria and Kenya facing severe doctor shortages, we see an urgent need for change. 70% of medications in circulation in Nigeria are fake and are 30 times more expensive. This means innocent people are paying more for less.
Patent Medicine Stores have emerged as the gap fillers in many Northern Nigerian communities. Yet, the majority of the vendors lack any healthcare training leading to a lot of misdiagnosis and avoidable deaths. At eHealth360, our response to this crisis is a fusion of technology, healthcare expertise and a deep commitment to community empowerment.
We tackle critical issues such as the scarcity of trained healthcare professionals, the prevalence of fake medications, and the financial hardship due to high healthcare costs. Moreover, we address the pressing problem of youth and women unemployment in the region.
Our social enterprise model not only makes healthcare more accessible and affordable but also creates job opportunities, uplifting communities as a whole. With over 100 patent medicine stores already enrolled and over 5,000 people served, we are steadily transforming the healthcare landscape.
